About the Movie

Samuel L. Jackson gives a masterful performance as a musical-instrument appraiser caught up in a soul-wrenching moral conflict in this moving tale of mystery and obsession. When Charles (Jackson) discovers a rare violin, he's convinced he's found a priceless, long-lost masterpiece with an intriguing, yet disturbing, history. As he learns a shocking secret about the violin's past, he wrestles with his own demons and must choose between burying the truth and risking everything.

Customer Reviews

This is a compelling wonderful film

This is a very compelling film about the history of a violin that causes dispair for anyone who plays it. The plot takes the viewer through history and modern day in a wonderful way recounting the violins owners. Samuel Jackson does a great role but is not central to the movie. I wholeheartedly recommend this fantastic film.

An excellent movie! A must see. Whether you are into classical music, appreciate the beauty of a fine instrument and or love watching a great drama, this is the movie for you. ENJOY! Thank you iTunes for having it in your collection.
