A Simple Review
A quality skateboard film that will get you stoked to skate. Anyone can say what they want about specific tricks or what not, but I found this to be a great video. The skating is fun, the style is slick, and it makes you want to go out and skate. What more can you ask for?
Honest review (no trick spoilers)
The filming, editing and music were great.
Cory Kennedy was up first. I was hoping for a well rounded NBD filled part but to my disappointment this part left me with a lot more to ask for. It felt more of a montage of good times with some hard tricks thrown in. Some very hard tricks in it no doubt but just enough compared to his older stuff. I give it a 3/5
Next up was Trevor Colden. He skates to a more mellow Lil' Wayne song. Lots of good skating here. Plenty of ledge and rail tricks along with gaps here and there. Really liked this part. His ender was perfect. A classic way to end a part. Starting to see a lot of parts end with this trick but it never gets old. 5/5
Next up Lance Mountain.
I knew it was gonna be pool's for days and it was. Some street stuff was thrown in here and there but this part really made me hyped. The song went along perfect with the video and Lance absolutely killed this part. He was gnarlier than I thought he would be for this part. His ender literally made me go "Whoa. That was heavy." Don't sleep on Mr. Mountain. He teaches the boys how pool skating should be done. Definitely my favorite part. 5/5
Next up is Omar Salazar along with John Fitzgerald, Stefan Janoski, Brian Anderson and Blake Carpenter.
A real tech-gnar part. A lot of variety due to this being a bit of a mash-up. Loved this part too. Blake ends the part in great fashion. 5/5
Next up Kevin Bradley.
Big ups to Kevin. He has a lot of talent and Honestly I think that he should've had the last part. That's how good I think the part was. Just watch it and you'll see. 5/5
Next up is Eric Koston.
I really wanted to see some real clips of him again. Thank God that he didn't pull a playful part like Cory did cause that's what I was expecting from frosty. Nothing groundbreaking but definitely a really solid part that won't disappoint. He doesn't need to prove anything anymore and I'm just glad to see him skate. That's all I really wanted from him here and he delivers. 4/5
Last is Karsten Kleppan.
This dude killed it. Definitely a "Going Pro" part. Gnarly all around skating and crazy ender. A great way to end the video! And that Eric Karsten pro board was hilarious at the premiere! 5/5
Overall a different feel compared to Chronicles 2 but was a very solid video. (Just wish Cory would've went all out bonkers with his part considering how incredible he is but still an amazing video overall.) THANK YOU NIKE SB! And thank you to Jason, Eric and Marc! Great video!
Nike an at it's best
I'm hype this movie was lit I was featured in rechronicled and the fact that Nike does that and supports unknown skaters and their love for skateboarding
