On a fall night in 2003, Harvard undergrad and computer programming genius Mark Zuckerberg sits down at his computer and heatedly begins working on a new idea. In a fury of blogging and programming, what begins in his dorm room soon becomes a global social network and a revolution in communication. A mere six years and 500 million friends later, Mark Zuckerberg is the youngest billionaire in history... but for this entrepreneur, success leads to both personal and legal complications. From director David Fincher and screenwriter Aaron Sorkin comes The Social Network, a film that proves you don't get to 500 million friends without making a few enemies. The film is produced by Scott Rudin, Dana Brunetti, Michael De Luca, and Ceán Chaffin and based on the book "The Accidental Billionaires" by Ben Mezrich.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: The Social Network is splendid entertainment from a master storyteller, packed with energetic incident and surprising performances.
Fresh: At last, a movie you can actually discuss afterward. And not just on Facebook or Twitter. No, you'll want to chew it over in person, with friends, for hours.
Fresh: Snappy script, sharp editing, eerily perfect soundtrack and nuanced performances. One of the first films to articulate the psychological power and draw of the internet: what it feeds us and why we feed on it
Fresh: The Social Network's portrait of Zuckerberg, replete with the jerky rhythms and constant scanning of the truly net addicted, epitomises that change. For that, and some very fine drama indeed, this film is a must-see.
The Best Picture of the Year!!
At first this movie didn't interest me but when I found out that David Fincher was the director I thought, oh what the heck I'll go see it. I walked in the theater with low expectations but as soon as the dialogue blended into the Columbia logo I was hooked. What followed was the fastest 2 hours of my life. Everything about this movie is pitch-perfect. The performences from Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake, Armie Hammer, Max Minghella and Rooney Mara were the best I've seen all year, the script by Aaron Sorkin was brilliant, the cinematography was beautiful, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross's score was haunting and mesmerizing, and David Fincher's direction is worthy of winning him his first Oscar after he was snubbed for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. In conclution The Social Network is a masterpiece that I hope will win Best Picture and other awards for the 83rd Academy Awards.
