Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: A clumsy remake of the 1987 cult thriller.
Rotten: The trouble with the movie, apart from its rather monotonous dourness of tone, is that everyone in the family... comes off as tougher, smarter, and quicker on the draw than the stepfather who's supposed to be outfoxing them.
Rotten: It's hard to get absorbed in a story with so many unresolved issues.
Rotten: This remake turns a fondly remembered horror/thriller into a mild and tedious suspense film.
Its an ok movie to me. Nothing was really surprising to me nor scary. In a weird way it reminded me of disturbia
This was a pretty good movie I saw in theaters and I thought I was really good
not the best but very good
I know that the movies is kinda predictable in the most parts and maybe not on everyone top ten list. Never the less it really is a good one.
Great actors, and for a remake a damn good one!
I'd say it is at least worth renting. Being more of a thriller you can watch it with your girlfriends without arguing about gory parts.
All in all - I'd watch it again (an probably will do soon).
