About the Movie

In August, 2008, 18 mountain climbers reached the top of K2. 48 hours later, 11 people were dead. While memorials paid tribute to those killed, there were also condemnations about ‘the why.' Why do these athletes risk everything to reach a place humans are simply not meant to go? With breathtaking cinematography and jaw dropping reenactments based on the testimony of those who survived the climb, this thrilling film is about the very nature of adventure in the modern world.

Summit - NO. Who cares

Some climbers climbed one of the most dangerous peaks in the world where one in four climbers die. So, some climbers died. The editing is horrible, the survivors were oxygen deprived and don't really remember events exactly. WHO CARES! You climb this mountain and you are nearly committing suicide. Why should I care?

Amazing & Incredible

It only works for those who know something of the events of August 2008. It helps even more to know something of mountaineering and the deadly history of K2.

This is why you should care !

Just because you lack the motivation to leave your own house and consider walking two blocks extreme exercise and adventure, maybe you should care. Perhaps this will give others inspiration to try something amazing in their own lives and risk their life doing it instead of watching and easily criticizing . Now , go for a walk. You need it.
