Very well made London thriller

This is loosely based on the classic British 70s cop shop 'The Sweeney' starring John Thaw and Dennis Waterman, actually this movie is nothing like it and that's a good thing because the TV show was such a classic and so good that this would have been viewed as an insult, so they took a far better route of basing it loosely on the TV show and actually they have made a very good movie, it's not disappointing at all and has a very talented cast and good story. Nice action scenes too and Winstone does not take himself too seriously.

Great bad cops and robbers

While some have reviewed that the movie needs subtitles, I found it authentic. It's not an American film, and thus isn't supposed to be in US English. While I am American, I found I could easily follow along even if I missed a phrase or word here and there. That's what makes me want to watch it again. Well, that and it was a classic "cops have too many rules to do their jobs effectively so they become criminals" movie. Great action, chase scenes, etc.....good movie for the action buff!

not for rental price

not for 7 bucks guys...at that price Ill wait till its out on cable.
