Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: If After the Thin Man is not quite the delight The Thin Man was, it is, at the very least, one of the most urbane comedies of the season.
Fresh: The two leading players seem to have a swell time throughout.
Fresh: The mystery elements amount to much less than Powell and Loy's effervescent interplay as the movies' most happily married couple.
Fresh: Surprisingly successful sequel to the delightful, Dashiell Hammett-based comedy-mystery, The Thin Man, with Powell and Loy as charmingly witty as ever.
This is a CLASSIC. A must own for any classic film buff.
It's a comedy.
It's a mystery.
It's a romance.
It's a great movie by any standard.
This is Great!!!
The fact that "The Thin Man" series in on iTunes is the best thing I've seen all year. That being said I would really like to see the the last three installments of the series. They remind me of I was growing up. Please oh great ones at iTunes please make these movies available that would make my day.
Best of the best
The best of the 'Thin Man' series, the best William Powell/Myrna Loy movie, the most ingenious blend of detective film and screwball comedy imaginable, and the coolest Christmas movie ever (yes, it does take place over Christmas.) An absolute must-see for any fan of classic American films.
