About the Movie

Calling all knuckleheads! From the fiercely funny Farrelly Brothers (There’s Something About Mary) comes this contemporary take on the world’s most beloved classic comedy trio...The Three Stooges! Left on the doorstep of a nun-conventional orphanage as toddlers, Moe, Larry, and Curly grow up eye-poking, face-slapping and head-clunking their way into adulthood. Now the bumbling trio — pure of heart, but dim of wit — find themselves on a madcap mission to save their childhood home from foreclosure. Can the Stooges survive the modern world, raise the money, and ultimately save the day? Why soitenly!

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: For the Farrellys, The Three Stooges is a labor of love. For non-believers, it's merely a labor. – Peter Travers, Rolling Stone, Apr 13, 2012

Fresh: The leads acquit themselves in the physical comedy, resurrecting shtick honed on a thousand-and-one vaudeville stages, and recreated in as many playgrounds. – Nick Pinkerton, Village Voice, Apr 16, 2012

Fresh: The movie is so infantile that it achieves a special kind of purity and gentleness. – David Denby, New Yorker, Apr 23, 2012

Rotten: You would think that after a quarter-century in development at four different studios, somebody would have figured out how to make a funny movie about the Three Stooges. – Lou Lumenick, New York Post, Apr 13, 2012

Moe, Larry , & Curly would have been so proud of

Chris, Sean & Will. The Farrelly Brothers have made a great classic out of those knuckleheads. It's not a Biography or a Remake. The Stooges were raised at an orphan house-run by Catholics, although the real stooges are in real life-Jewish. This film is done in three acts: Act One-More Orphan Than Not; Act Two-The Bananas Split, And Act Three-No Moe Mr. Nice Guy. Also, there were some gag names thrown in like, Kickham, Harter, & Indagroyne-Injury Lawyers; Ditcher, Quick, & Hyde-Divorce Lawyers; and Proba, Keester & Wintz-Proctologists-Doctors who specializes in Colonoscopy. The film also has great performances from Sofia Vergara, Jane Lynch, Larry David, Snookie, Jennifer Hudson, & Brian Doyle-Murray. I gotta hand it to you, 21st Century FOX & Columbia Pictures have really handle The Stooges so very well There might be a sequel in the works.

Disappointing

I was very disappointed by the movie. It's great to attempt to make a comedy but at least try to make it funny.

Don't buy. Not worth it. If you really want to see it rent it.

Great movie
