Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Mr. Ruffin must carry the film, projecting interior activity and suggesting information where the script (by Mr. O'Shea) does not. That he imbues the film with a weight greater than its words is a testament to his skill as an actor. – Andy Webster, New York Times, Apr 6, 2017

Fresh: Michael O'Shea wears his influences on his sleeve in this downbeat, sporadically engaging slow-burn modern vampire fable. – Catherine Bray, Variety, May 14, 2016

Fresh: Bold and brutal in shocking spurts, the indie horror drama from writer-director O'Shea is a startling debut that leaves a fresh mark on the genre while celebrating its forbears. – Jen Yamato, Los Angeles Times, Apr 20, 2017

Rotten: This film, directed by Michael O'Shea, is less a horror movie than a coming-of-age tale as Milo meets an equally troubled neighbour, Sophie, played by Chloe Levine. – Kate Muir, Times (UK), Apr 21, 2017

Really Great

but not horror or thriller, it's drama/romance with some mild gore.

Worst ending ever

This ending has me shook. The ending is not okay and doesn't answer any of my questions! ☹️🙄

Drama- NOT Horror

This movie, while extremely well-acted and smart, should NOT be in the horror or thriller catagory. This is a drama movie through and through. It is about a young boy who lives in a bad neighborhood who befriends a girl who cuts herself and drinks a lot and he has an unhealthy obsession w/ vampires. I wont give away the end or too much of the plot, but while it does have some mild to moderate horror elements, it is NOT a horror movie!
