Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: This movie finally isn't anything more than an intricate feat of gamesmanship, but it's still quite something to see.
Fresh: The Usual Suspects is the freshest, funniest and scariest crime thriller to come along since Pulp Fiction.
Fresh: A terrific cast of exciting actors socks over this absorbingly complicated yarn that's been spun in seductively slick fashion by director Bryan Singer.
Fresh: But like a tale from the Arabian Nights, told for the sheer pleasure of storytelling, this elegant puzzle not only enjoys showing off, it also has something to show.
One of the best movies I've ever seen
I first watched The Usual Suspects at my friend's house because it is his favorite movie of all time...and he was shckoed when he heard I hadn't seen it. So I watch it. I was AMAZED. The entire storyline is well thought out, following 5 convicts plot a robbery that will target corrupt FBI officials, led by the mysterious Keyser Soze. The entire movie keeps you guessing until the final minutes with a twist ending that you will never see coming. I have seen this movie tons of times now, and if you haven't seen it, now would be a good time to do so...
This movie will flip ya. Flip ya for real.
Have been burned with several movies here that have gotten rave reviews, and so was a little skeptical buying this one. But, it truly is a great movie. Lots of fun to watch. Will absolutely see it again to catch things I may have missed the first time around.
