Based upon actual events in NYC in the late 1980s and set in present day Athens, “The Waiter” is a character study. It’s an existential twisted thriller and murder story that is told from the point of view of Renos. He is a professional waiter who leads a simple and quiet life - a loner and a meticulous observer who unwittingly gets entangled in the mysterious disappearance of his neighbor Milan.
