About the Movie
A truthful, spontaneous, and funny ensemble film that perfectly captures the experience of growing up, and growing apart from those you will always call friends. Before their childhood friends get married and move across the country, eight Towunga Pines summer campers (and a few disoriented newbies) take over a rental cottage in upstate New York for one last weekend of fun in the sun. Written by the full cast & creative team, and shot entirely in real-time, this romantic character comedy is a true-as-life portrait of friendship that will stay with you long after the gang all says goodbye… A FilmBuff Presentation.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: In just a short period of time, a weekend hookup tests the boundaries each man has set for himself.
Fresh: One of the truest, most beautiful movies ever made about two strangers.
Fresh: The organ that "Weekend" is most concerned with isn't the one you might think, but the human heart.
Fresh: Its final moments offer a vision of what a contemporary romance can achieve: an appreciative gasp of truth, a wet-eyed hope for more.
There is so much extraordinary talent in front of and behind the camera in this film. Worth seeing for many reasons, but mainly to witness the early days of award-winning careers.
The Weekend is such a honest, realistic portrayal of people and friendship. The film makes me relive great moments with my friends. There are so many small moments that are characterize in this movie that so many people could relate too. Will recommend this movie to anyone.
This movie was recommended by a friend and I'm so glad I listened to her! It's a fun, refreshing comedy with the right mix of realistic relationships and wonderful humor. I love the real time production and the film's pace, well shot and directed without any heavy handed moments.
While the movie is an honest portrayal of people in this age group and their friendships, it's also offbeat and quirky. I watched the movie twice and found myself laughing is the same places and new places as I picked up more of the story.
The script, story feels impromptu with excellent diverse characters that, by the end of the movie, you feel their friendship, past, present and the future. If you are looking for what a weekend with YOUR friends would be like - here's the flick for you.
