Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: The Wild may just be the most wildly derivative animated movie in ages.
Rotten: The animation is exquisitely detailed, down to the lions' individually moving whiskers -- but when's the last time you enjoyed a cartoon for its realism?
Rotten: As a movie that kids will enjoy with a few adult-oriented gags to keep parents from going completely insane with boredom, The Wild accomplishes its unambitious mission.
Rotten: These films take years to produce, so The Wild isn't exactly a ripoff -- but it isn't exactly fun, either.
Reminiscent of Madagascar without the comedy or charm. Similar to Finding Nemo without any of its qualities. The animation and movie is an akward, boring mess which is not only unfunny, but just plain dumb too. There are hundreds of better movies out there, don't even waste your time here.
Worst Disney Film.
When I went to go see this movie, it had only been out for a week and no one was in the theater, on a Friday night! After the first 30 mintutes of the movie I could see why. I literally used the 3 empty chairs beside me and made a bed to rest on for the last 15 minutes of the movie. If their had to be a worst Disney movie. This is my pick. Trust me, I am very good at rating movies. It's not funny, its not well made, and it's for some reason $12.99! I don't get it.If you want to see a good family film, I strongly recommed "The Incredibles".
Good for the kids, OK for the adults
This is just an OK movie overall. I have 2 kids and they both enjoyed it. I really don't know if it would be one that they would want to watch over and over like the Pixar films. This one is most definately a rental. Too bad iTunes doen't offer rentls... but oh well...
