About the Movie
Academy Award® winners Anthony Hopkins (The Silence of the Lambs) and Benicio Del Toro (Traffic) tear up the screen in this action-packed thriller. Lawrence Talbot (Del Toro) is lured back to his family estate to investigate the savage murder of his brother by a bloodthirsty beast. There, Talbot must confront his childhood demons, his estranged father (Hopkins), his brother's grieving fiancée (Emily Blunt, The Devil Wears Prada) and a suspicious Scotland Yard Inspector (Hugo Weaving, The Matrix Trilogy). When Talbot is bitten by the creature, he becomes eternally cursed and soon discovers a fate far worse than death. Inspired by the classic Universal film that launched a legacy of horror, The Wolfman brings the myth of a cursed man back to its iconic origins.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Anthony Hopkins portrays Sir John Talbot. Benicio Del Toro is prodigal son Lawrence. That's a great deal of acting sinew for an oddly anemic outing.
Rotten: Benicio Del Toro pulls off a nifty trick in The Wolfman: He makes turning into a werewolf look as dull as doing your taxes.
Rotten: An ill-considered, utterly unnecessary remake.
Rotten: Joe Johnston turns a classic monster into an anaemic bore.
The Wolf man
I especially liked This movie A LOT because the Effects and Graphics were Fantastically Made exactly as good as the New King Kong (2005) Starring Jack Black, Adrienne Brody, and More great actors in it. But right now i am talking about a Great hairy beast who rips tissue from people with blood and gory scenes. But this movie is a bit better than the old one no offense to anybody who was a big fan of the old version of this but this one had the best set of actors and actresses as in the old movie too!.. Starring Benicio del toro, Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt and Many more... If you Are not afraid of any scary stuff than you could probably watch this too i shows a great amount of similarity as the 1941 version too if you have seen this version over and over at least 27 times you can find scenes where they were trying to make it be like the old one to make some of the people who saw the original to go and see this awesome movie but i highly recommend this to people who are from teens to at least 60- ages to at least 70 years of age if you have heart problems i wouldn't watch this movie because it might be a little overwhelming to you. but watch this everyone. I rate this movie a ten out of ten meaning this was the best

A modern bloody update!
The wolfman is a modern version of a old horror classic. This version offers plenty of blood. All though the story is a little predictable it is made up with the gore factor. The transformation from man to beast was incredible. It really brought real tension to the screen. It is a faithful remake of a classic film. It's the transformation and the blood that makes this a movie good to watch.
A bloody good time!
I find it unfortunate that this movie was very much unliked just because it wasn't perfect. Though I did like this movie a lot, it had some flaws. Like a lot of the editing was kinda choppy, some of the jump scenes were a bit predictable, Del Toro's accent wasn't quite there, there could've been at least one more scene with old wolfie tearing up everyone, but I think the studio that was so scared of making another box-office bomb was to blame for that (But we know that all that re-re-re-reediting and re-re-re-recutting done on this film didn't help either. Haha). It's quite a shame such good movies like this bomb and such terrible movies like My Bloody Valentine are successful. Now I'm not sure if the extended/unrated version has more tearing and is less choppy, despite its flaws the film had, I still found the original version quite enjoyable.
