About the Movie

Trans is an extraordinary documentary feature about men and women, and all the variations in between. It is about the transgender community, perhaps the most misunderstood and mistreated minority in America and around the world. Inspired by the incredible story of Dr. Christine McGinn and her work as a transgender surgeon, Trans provides an up-close and very personal vision into the lives, loves, and challenges of a remarkable cast of characters of all ages and from all walks of life.

trans the movie

one of the most insiteful movies produced looking at gender variance it stretches your entire range of emotions.

This is an amazing film that really paints an accurate portrait of aspects of the lives of transgender individuals. As this community experiences so much prejudice, misunderstanding and difficulty, this film really shows a humanizing truth, especially to those who may not know much about the transgender community. The people the documentary focuses show so much strength through a great deal of adversity they have faced, and speak eloquently about their experiences and how they have made them who they are today. It is definitely a must see!
