A secret map inspires a thrilling treasure hunt across the universe as young Jim Hawkins and a hilarious cosmic crew headed by the daring Captain Amelia set off in search of their destiny. Aboard a glittering space galleon, Jim meets the ship's cyborg cook, John Silver, who teaches him the value of friendship and the power of dreams. Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Treasure Planet doesn't have the charm of Disney's last homegrown release, Lilo & Stitch, or the dazzling artistry of Spirited Away. But it's a capable and diverting holiday season adventure for a family audience. – Claudia Puig, USA Today, Nov 28, 2002

Rotten: 'Treasure Plane' starts with the clever idea of transforming the story into an old-fashioned space opera, and the animated visuals are handily up to the studio's best. Yet the film's total appeal may be undercut by a script that rarely feels inspired. – Andy Klein, Variety, Jul 7, 2010

Fresh: Enjoy the spectacle. – Desson Thomson, Washington Post, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: It's all quite vividly imagined, down to the tiniest details. – Stephen Hunter, Washington Post, Jun 24, 2010

Treasure Planet is by far one of the most engaging animated films that Disney has put forth and It's terribly how few people appreciate this film. I think it should be made buyable and soon.
