Rotten: Troy isn't so much a simplified retelling of The Iliad as a re-imagined version of it, told wholly without imagination. – Stephanie Zacharek,, Jul 7, 2010

Fresh: Harsh, serious, and both exhilarating and tragic, the right tonal combination for Homer. – David Denby, New Yorker, Jan 3, 2005

Fresh: All Hollywood and no Homer, but within its limits, it's a vigorous, entertaining movie. – Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: All of the visual majesty that hundreds of millions of dollars can buy cannot obscure the perfunctory and unsatisfying development of the major characters. – James Berardinelli, ReelViews, Jun 10, 2008

simply mindblowing

the action is gripping, the acting is fabulous, the men are hot, the women are beautiful, and the story is epic. There is no reason not to like this movie. this is the first review I have ever written on iTunes, because I felt compelled to express my deep love for this wonderful movie. It is a tragic story, yet it has a silver lining. Enjoy!!

I didnt like it that much

Historically Superb

It really ties you in to the history of Greece and (if it was real) Troy. Great directing and great acting by Bloom and Pitt.
