About the Movie
A young American woman (Stana Katic, TV's Castle) travels to a remote village in Ireland to investigate the mysterious circumstances surrounding her best friend Kerry's death. Her quest targets a local villager but before long Emma discovers that the village may be hiding more secrets than she thought.
Little gem :)
I've waited for "Truth about Kerry" for almost 3 years, since late spring 2009 after "discovering" extremely talented Stana Katic on TV show "Castle" and coming across the trailer of this movie while doing some browsing for Stana's other work. Three years of waiting, but totally worth it. Let me tell you, this movie is a MUST SEE :) For every STANATIC and not only, just for everybody who loves good movies. This movie has it all - interesting story, great acting from everybody, but especially from Stana Katic, totally shocking ending which leaves you with your jaw on the floor. Great writing and directing, wonderful cinematography and breathtaking landscapes (I want to go to Irelenad to see these places!) and wonderful cast. Independent movie at it's best :) Personally I think that if this movie had been released at least 4 - 5 years earlier, Stana would have been in completely different place with her film career. Every film director must see it and get Stana for the main parts in their movies. She's THAT GOOD :)
Also the music in the movie is beautiful, great job by Ciaran Hope, he deserves some awards for his score. And the main song, "Cry for the last time" performed by Marina V, became one of my favourite songs of all times after hearing it for the first time at the early version of the film's official website back in 2009 :)
Congratulations to Shaun, Katie, Stana, Darren and the whole cast and crew of "Truth about Kerry", awesome job. I know for sure that I'm going to re-watch this little gem MULTIPLE times :)
Truth About Kerry
I finally was able to watch the movie after 6 months of waiting for it and I I'm really glad I wasn't disappointed. The story draws you in the first 5 minutes and through the whole movie you're thinking "What the hell happened to Kerry?". You wouldn't expect the end, so it's really worth watching. The picture, however, is not best quality. Also, I really enjoyed Stana Katic as Emma but I was a little disappointed because she didn't get closure. That's it. :)
Terrible movie, poorly acted and shot. The twist is obvious from the beginning and the movie meanders on doing little by way of character development or plot depth. Really not worth the time or the money.
