About the Movie

From the singular mind of writer/director and podcaster Kevin Smith, and conceived from one of Smith’s own Smodcast’s, Tusk is a story unlike anything that has ever been committed to screen before. A tale that is equal parts hilarious and horrifying, Tusk will stay with you long after the credits roll.

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: If you're a Kevin Smith junkie, as I am, you'll appreciate the verbal pinwheels he spins around the horror genre in Tusk. – Peter Travers, Rolling Stone, Sep 19, 2014

Rotten: Nice as it would be to herald Tusk as a return to Smith's bold early period, the movie has a lurching tone and an airless atmosphere. – Richard Corliss, TIME Magazine, Oct 16, 2014

Rotten: This tonal mishmash is a misfire of literally gross proportions. – Gary Goldstein, Los Angeles Times, Sep 18, 2014

Fresh: If Kevin Smith was stoned when he thought up his excellent walrusian nightmare, then marijuana is the best creative medicine. – Brad Wheeler, Globe and Mail, Oct 3, 2014

#WalrusEh

It was ok. Not groundbreaking but a very smart way of combing comedy and thriller, which is almost impossible to do. That being said I thought movie was very promising but with a slightly higher budget available Kevin Smith would have hit a home run. This movie is in between a double and a triple. Definitely weird and creepy but not that scary of a horror genre more of a thriller. The comedy was well written and it delivers, unfortunately more than it should with "certain" scenes.

Amazing

Kevin Smith has outdone himself. I left the theater feeling gloomy but realized it was just a movie. Stay for the after credit for a extra scene from Guy .

Avoid

The concept of the movie is truly disturbing trying to turn someone into a human walrus. However, seeing Long's character in a walrus looking costume it look all fake even though it's supposed to look like its made from human flesh, the costume still looked beyond fake. WHere was the horror and suspense of it? Human centipede was more suspenseful and more disturbing than this one. The concept of Tusk is disturbing but other than that SKIP THIS MOVIE!
