Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Noteworthy because it represents a kind of fevered moviemaking insanity that we rarely see these days.
Fresh: A beautiful film, but it's also a troubled one.
Fresh: Although special effects and careful editing pitch in, the wild-kingdom authenticity on display is an astonishing achievement.
Fresh: This is a family movie on a grand scale, enhanced by lush cinematography and throbbing music, with a minimum of dialogue and an endless assortment of thrills.
A sweet movie for kids
My daughter loves tigers, so she loved this movie. It is a touching tale of two tiger cubs who live very different lives and then find eachother when they are grown. There are some slightly scary parts, but it all ends happy. My daughter saw it originally in the movies when she was 5. She is now 10 and wants me to buy it, so I will. It is not outstanding, but it is worth the money. Overall, a good family movie. We recommend it, especially for animal lovers of all ages.
I still love this movie. The tiger cubs are cute and its awesome how you grow up with them over the course of the movie. Great tale, sad at times, with a heart warming ending
This is just a wonderful film; I can't rave enough about it. It is beautifully photographed and the stars, Kamal and Songah, apologies for name spelling errors, will take your heart.
The story takes place in 1920's French Indo-China and chronicles the life of two tiger cubs separated at a very young age. I don't want to give out too much of the plot, but suffice to say, you will NOT be disappointed. This family-friendly film has something for everyone.
I hope you'll love and enjoy this film as much as I have.
