Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: This film is so heavy with exposition that you would think that the director, Anna Foerster, and the screenwriter, Cory Goodman, had set out to complete a dissertation instead of a sequel. – Ben Kenigsberg, New York Times, Jan 6, 2017

Rotten: While the film may justify its title in terms of the viscera on display, it is badly in need of a funny bone. – Clark Collis, Entertainment Weekly, Jan 6, 2017

Rotten: Like the four franchise fillers that preceded it, Underworld: Blood Wars is undoubtedly impervious to bad reviews. What it needs is a stake through the heart. – Peter Travers, Rolling Stone, Jan 6, 2017

Rotten: A generic, by-the-numbers genre exercise that, for all its talk of blood, is strictly anemic. – Frank Scheck, Hollywood Reporter, Jan 6, 2017

Solid but not the best.

I liked this movie and it's solid but it could've been better overall. The film is worth a watch but I won't watch it more then a few times. Kate looks as beautiful and sexy as always.

Pretty dang good

The movie is not perfect that's for sure. It leaves some unanswered questions and a few plot points don't make sense, like how does the eastern coven still exist after the events of awakening. It is a great action movie and it's possibly the best in the franchise, with the first one a close second. Just like most of these it has great rewatch ability. The plot isn't so complicated and filled with twists that second or third viewing take away from the film. It's a fun movie. It is a little different in style and tone from the first, but is still Underworld.

EXCITED!!

This is one of my favorite series! Underworld rocks! Can't wait to see it in theaters! Already Pre-ordered it!
