Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: With leads who strain to manage one facial expression between them, and a cinematographer shooting everything through the same steel-blue filter, Underworld: Evolution is a monotonous barrage of computer-generated fur and fangs. – Jeannette Catsoulis, New York Times, Jul 16, 2008

Rotten: ... the series never expands on the promise of its one innovation. – Gregory Kirschling, Entertainment Weekly, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: The plot is so convoluted that missing even five minutes at a stretch won't make any difference in your comprehension of the story. – Stephanie Zacharek, Salon.com, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: There's no guiding power at work here; it's Evolution without a shred of intelligent design. – Ben Kenigsberg, Village Voice, Jun 24, 2010

WORTH BUYING (Every second of it!)

As the war between the Death Dealers and the Lycans rages on, Selene (Beckinsale), the vampire warrior, and Michael (Speedman), the werewolf hybrid, once again work together to stop one of the four elders who has also turned into another hybrid, in this sequal to the 2004 blockbuster film, 'Underworld'. I personaly love this series because it's a total new twist on how we perceive vampires and werewolves. The story is full of action and adventure with a mystery plot that keeps you curious all the way to the end. The choreography is flawless and the makeup and effects are extremely realistic. The movie also goes at a good pace (no boring spots you want to sleep threw OR spots that go so fast that you find yourself with a question mark over your head). Just buy it and enjoy. Watch the 'Underworld' first and then this one. You won't be dissapointed. ps: IF YOU GET SCARED EASILY, this movie may not be for you. THIS IS THE MOST REALISTIC VAMPIRE/WEREWOLF MOVIE SERIES EVER MADE. Destined to become cult classics. Enjoy, Duck Moore (music critic)

this is better then the original

I loved the original film don't get me wrong but this is better it has it all no question about that. but watch the original 1st so you can pick up on where this one picks up from. this is full of action and it's a very sexy movie so check it out.

underworld evolution review

miss_mandy was right, I totally agree that it has everything to make a great movie. Usually when a horror movie is released, the blood and gore is overdone and cheesy, but this movie hit them spot on. The graphics are amazing and aside from that, it has a great story behind it. But you would have to see the first one to really understand and grasp it.
