About the Movie
Roland Emmerich (2012, WHITE HOUSE DOWN) directs a classic action/sci-fi thrill ride starring Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren as soldiers who kill each other in Vietnam but are brought back to life decades later for a secret government program. Known as "Unisols," the genetically enhanced soldiers are now unstoppable killing machines without feelings or free will. But when Deveraux (Van Damme) starts to have flashbacks to his old life, he escapes from the program and sparks a superhuman chase across the country.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Mr. Lundgren, who glowers his way all too convincingly through the role of a rabid bully, may well be the only man in the universe who can make Mr. Van Damme look like an actor.
Rotten: Though the idea is dumb enough to be fun, director Roland Emmerich does the Terminator thing without much style, and the two stars bash into each other but never connect.
Rotten: Leaves behind almost as many derisive laughs as dead bodies.
Rotten: I suppose there is a market for this sort of thing among bubblebrained adolescents of all ages, but it takes a good chase scene indeed to rouse me from the lethargy induced by dozens and dozens of essentially similar sequences.
Creative story and decent action
These guys were soldiers but rarely used guns. I think the movie could have benefited from that.
A Very Nice Surprise
