About the Movie

From the revolutionary minds of Pixar Animation Studios and the acclaimed director of Monsters, Inc. comes a hilariously uplifting adventure where the sky is no longer the limit. Carl Fredricksen, a retired balloon salesman is part rascal, part dreamer who is ready for his last chance at high-flying excitement. Tying thousands of balloons to his house, Carl sets off to the lost world of his childhood dreams. Unbeknownst to Carl, Russell, an overeager 8-year old Wilderness Explorer who has never ventured beyond his backyard, is in the wrong place at the wrong time – Carl's front porch! The world's most unlikely duo reaches new heights and meets fantastic friends like Dug, a dog with a special collar that allows him to speak, and Kevin, the rare 13-foot tall flightless bird. Stuck together in the wilds of the jungle, Carl realizes that sometimes life's biggest adventures aren't the ones you set out looking for. UP reaches new heights and it's an adventure that will send your spirits soaring!

SOARING (LITERALLY) OVER THE COMPETITION

Pixar has really outdone itself with this film. This is a classic animated film among the ranks of Disney's classic films and Pixar's first hit Toy Story. The characters are well-done and have a lot of personality. Who doesn't love the talking dog Dug, with his unbashed and lovable goofiness? The story also has a lot of emotional parts, since the main hero is a widow since his wife had passed away and he lives alone. Russell is kind of cute, but honestly sometimes grates on my nerves. The rest of the emsemble is executed beautifully, and the lush jungle enviroments are certainly a sight to see. The story may sag at some points, bu this film is bouyant over Monsters Vs. Aliens, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dionosaurs, and even probably Ponyo! Click Yes is you agree that Pixar has pulled this film off with aplomb once more. If you didn't like it, you can click No, and hope that Toy Story 3 can be able to soar infinity and beyond.

Best Pixar Film since Cars!

I was absolutely blown away by this. I'll admit, I had doubts about this when I first went to see it, but it was incredible. Overall this film will have all you could ask for.

Amazing

In every possible way. It's the absolute epitome of all animation and no doubt the greatest movie of the year (possibly decade)
