About the Movie
In the waning days of World War II, the Navy warship USS Indianapolis secretly delivered one of two atomic bombs that would eventually end the war. The Japanese attacked and sank the heavy cruiser. The USS Indianapolis’ mission was so classified it was not reported missing, and no one knew the ship had been attacked until four days later. Of the 1197 crew members, nearly 300 went down with the ship. Stranded in the shark-infested waters of the Philippine Sea, the remaining survivors of the USS Indianapolis endured hunger, thirst, heat, delirium, relentless shark attacks and the death of many shipmates. Five days later only 316 men survived and were eventually rescued.

Rotten: The film's leaden treatment of this incredible story somehow sucks all the drama out of it.
Rotten: A World War II epic about the cruiser that carried the A-bomb, and was disastrously torpedoed, never finds its dramatic life.
Rotten: The script by Cam Cannon and co-producer Richard Rionda Del Castro is frustratingly unfocused, jumping from incident to incident while using Cage's flat, whispered narration to fill the gaps.

Powerful story the world needs to know!
This movie tells the story of the USS Indianapolis, that single handedly helped to end WWII with it's delivery of parts to the atomic bomb. An incredible piece is history now brought to life so beautifully! I had the privilege of working on this film over the summer of 2015. Powerful story, incredible cast... coming to select theaters nationwide on November 11! #USSIndianapolisMenOfCourage
