About the Movie

If hip-hop and rock 'n' roll had a love child, she would be Roxxy (Zoe Kravitz), an inner city girl in trouble. Vincent (Emile Hirsch) is a consummate loner searching for meaning in his life. One morning, these two lost souls meet when a vicious killer attacks Roxxy on the street in broad daylight. When Vincent tries to save her, he and Roxxy are forced on the run for their lives. The pair soon learns violence will follow them everywhere, even as they unexpectedly fall in love.

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Aspirations matter, and the cast members remain dedicated to their brooding roles as the script admirably reaches for emotions it only sometimes captures. – Ken Jaworowski, New York Times, Jun 1, 2017

Rotten: Genre cliches catch up with Schultz just as surely as the past catches up with his characters and the sweet, redemptive possibilities of their relationship gets washed away in the tide of gratuitous bloodshed. – Scott Tobias, Variety, Jun 1, 2017

Rotten: This uneven rural romance and thriller has echoes of Terrence Malick, Jeff Nichols and Andrew Dominik, but its dueling tones battle with neither side emerging victorious. – Kimber Myers, Los Angeles Times, Jun 1, 2017

Fresh: Emile Hirsch and Zoe Kravitz, as strangers thrown together by a violent incident, enjoy an easy chemistry here, encouraging viewers to forget the menace that starts the story and, with startling violence, will end it. – John DeFore, Hollywood Reporter, Jun 1, 2017

Just a Bad Movie

The acting was decent but it is almost ruined by just terrible lines and poor plotting.
