About the Movie

For years a man and woman have struggled to survive in a barren and hostile post-apocalyptic wilderness. Each night, the man tells the story of their lost home, forever promising his companion that they’re getting closer to finding it. When the couple stumbles upon the ruins of a vanished society, they find the comforts of civilization –food, shelter –so long lost to them. The man confesses that he’s been using the notion of “home” as a lie to keep them moving forward, a profound betrayal. Deep within the buildings, each separately encounters a silent and immobile stranger with a sinister agenda that will threaten their relationship, their memories, and their future.

Customer Reviews

A good post-apocalyptic story, highly recommended

The movie is a very interesting post-apocalyptic character driven study of 2 people who may very well be the only 2 left on earth; it is their quest to find “home”. A well written, brilliantly acted narrative, I was immersed in the tale from beginning to end.

Great movie, but not for everyone

If you like your end of the world stories to be full of clear plot points and big battles, you will hate this movie.
But if you are cool with character focused films that explore the nature of relationships, the need for control and companionship and the danger of getting what you think you want most of all in the world, this is the movie for you. Beautifully staged, simply but honestly acted, the story plays out like a twisted fairy tale of two people lured into the trap of fulfilled wishes, only to find that the gold and jewels may be tarnished and perhaps they were better off having nothing but each other
