Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: All the weeping and hugging the characters do can't make up for the film's fatal lack of texture and psychological nuance.
Rotten: If the film's morose sentimentality sidesteps ludicrousness, it's also not very dramatic.
Fresh: A heaping serving of metaphysical gobbledygook wrapped in a physically striking package.
Fresh: A visual feast not to be passed up and bound to pack an emotional punch for many viewers!
this is my favorite movie of all time
One of the best films of all time
This film is unique in its perspective and its imagination. Beautiful, awe-inspiring visuals add to its greatness. Robin Williams' performance is powerful in this film, and obviously, a departure from his reputation as a comedian. Cuba Gooding Jr. also delivers an astonishing performance in a supporting role.
Beautiful Love Story
What Dreams May Come is one movie that is nothing like all the other fairy tale/ Dis' cartoon , Hollywood love story. This film is unique to itself. The love story that drives this film can be appreciated by both woman and men of all. This film really encompasses real human emotion and life, the good and bad, the evil and grace that is a part of any marriage or relationship between two people that love each other. The story is so beautiful and the visual aspect of this film is so incredible and beautiful too, even the scenes that required a very dark and depressing set. I love this film and every time I watch it I realize how lucky I am and that I have a husband that loves me that much in return. If you are an art enthusiast than you will love this film, the color, the art, the backdrops, sets, and so so so much more.
