Screen legends Bette Davis and Joan Crawford star in the 1962 box office champ that became a classic! This Academy Award-winning, tense psychological drama tells of the psychopathic relationship between two sisters, one a former child vaudeville star and the other a crippled ex-silent star of the screen, who are bound together in hate in a house of fear. Recently selected by the prestigious American Film Institute as one of the 400 greatest American films of all time and who added Baby Jane Hudson to the list of 50 Greatest Villains.

Fresh: The chain of circumstances grows, violence creating violence. Once the inept, draggy start is passed, the film's pace builds with ever-growing force.
Fresh: A lurid melodrama of hate, revenge and murder, a high-class horror film, in the Hitchcock vein, with virtuoso performances from Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, and moments both searing and poignant.
Fresh: Aldrich's direction and dynamite performances from the two old troupers make this film an experience.
Fresh: There are plenty of thrills and no shortage of suspense in this darkly comic horror film.
I'M WRITING A LETTER TO DADDY TO SAY THIS IS GREAT
For those who do know this movie, and have seen it you know that not only is this a great film of its kind, but this could not be remade if they tried. Who the hell would they cast for the leads?? The tv series "Fued" is great with Sarandon and Lang, but not to do this film as a remake. (Just in case there is a producer out there that is thinking of remaking this film. Best advice: DONT!!!!!!)
This is one you can watch every so often and it still is great with every viewing.
Great acting, script. Bette and Joan just make this film a classic. And for those who have never seen this movie, buy or rent it now to see one of the best films ever made. Period!!!
Classic lunacy & great fun.
I've loved this movie since the first time I saw it. Bette Davis is so amazing. This film is full of great lines and bizarre plot points. From rats in the basement (and for lunch), to "letters to daddy," to ice cream on the beach - If you're looking for something truly twisted and memorable, look no further.
This is a must to see classic.....Movies like this are just not made anymore. 2 legends of the silver screen.....very chilling...Do yourself a favor and watch it.
