About the Movie
The two-hour sketch comedy show-meets-concert film builds upon and punctuates the multimedia format of the band's live performances with skits from the stable of Puscifer characters such as Billy D, Hildy and Major Douche woven into the performance footage of the Maynard James Keenan led quintet."Being surrounded by so many talented and creative people is an endless source of inspiration. This film only scratches the surface of how deep our proverbial rabbit hole goes. What Is Puscifer is meant to conjure as many questions as it answers," explained Maynard James Keenan. Puscifer's concerts have been praised for their out-of-the-box take on what a live performance can be, with the Orange County Register saying "the production matters as much as the music" and describing the event as "a thought-provoking, senses-jabbing statement on a variety of topics." The Dallas Morning News called the evening "an idiosyncratic experience" while the Austin Chronicle referred to the concert as a "multimedia prop dramedy."

The show (Puscifer tour) was great and the music is great but whomever cut this concert video is an amateur. This is one of the most difficult ones I’ve ever watched. Super fast cuts, focus is pulled in and out and the framing is jiggled non-stop. The director/editor may think he/she is being artsy or contemporary or edgy but it doesn’t look good at all. It’s as if they drank a gallon of RedBull or coffee and decided to make the viewer feel like that too. They don’t understand the necessity of letting the eyes follow movement and allowing the nervous system to rest on occasion. They unfortunately turned what could’ve been an excellent video or an underground classic into an irritating mess. Too bad. Puscifer deserves better than this. (also: way overpriced)
Greatest show on birth!
If you love lucifer and pus, you will laugh the night away with this.
Everything MJK touches turns to gold.
The best thing about this album/film is understanding how diverse MJK is as an artist. His comedic delivery is highly entertaining (as are his supporting acts) and just as you've dove head first into their afflicted situations, back and forth banter, and comical ignorant prerogatives; the band (driven by MJK) surfaces throughout the story pulling you into a periodic, rhythmic and melodic euphoria. Having seen Puscifer multiple times on tour, I can tell you that every minute of their show is outstanding... And this edition brings it all to your eyes and ears on command.
