Fresh: An extraordinary, almost indescribably personal reflection on life, love, suffering and impermanence. – Jeannette Catsoulis, New York Times, Aug 7, 2014

Fresh: The repetitive rhythms of Joaquim Pinto's daily routines provide the film with a feeling of serenity that stands in contrast to the man's underlying anxiety. – Tomas Hachard, Slant Magazine, Aug 5, 2014

A Lesson on Life and Love

A terribly ill man facing death is helped by his husband to wake up, and face the light of each new day. He meditates about his loss, and gains, the past, the future, humanity, and its history, and lives the present moment that is on offer with every cell of his being, in all honesty, modesty, beatitude, gratitude, and intelligence, awakening to love, and spirituality. A work of art free of any artifice. I felt inner peace long after watching this moving, and singular movie. Very Highly recommended.
