About the Movie

Housemates Viago, Deacon, and Vladislav are three vampires who are trying to get by in modern society; from paying rent and doing housework to trying to get invited into nightclubs, they’re just like anyone else - except they’re immortal and must feast on human blood. When their 8000 year-old roommate Petyr, turns 20-something human hipster Nick, into a vampire, the guys must guide him through his newfound eternal life. In return, they are forced to learn a thing or two about modern society, fashion, technology, and the internet. But it’s the introduction of Nick’s human friend, Stu, that really changes the vampires’ lives and attitudes towards the world around them. When Stu’s life is threatened, the vampires discover that humans are worth fighting for, and that even though a heart may be cold and dead, it can still have feelings.

Fresh: A surprisingly delicate vampire spoof that's both hilarious and respectful, and that captures all the silliest, scariest and saddest aspects of the bloodsucking tradition in one delicious package. – Andrew O'Hehir, Salon.com, Feb 15, 2015

Fresh: If we see two or three more comedies this year that know what they're doing the way this one does, it'll be a very good year indeed. – Michael Phillips, Chicago Tribune, Mar 6, 2015

Ahhh!! Fresh Air!

It’s been too long since I've had the exuberant pleasure of viewing a comedy I felt subsequently obligated to share with everyone I knew! A total pleasure with the soul of Spinal Tap, the heart of Shaun of The Dead, yet a beast of its own. Worth every minute and cent.

A Must See!!!

Very funny. Seriously funny! LOL funny!! The entire theater was giggling constantly. One of the best movies I've seen for ages. Make the effort to go see, find, search out this movie. I have told everyone I know to see this movie. Original. I have also watched some interviews of the actors and they are truly funny. No wonder the movie is hysterical.

Endlessly Entertaining, Obsessively Rewatchable

I’ve seen this movie six times already and I keep uncovering new jokes that I don’t remember seeing before. This is probably the best rockumentary since Spinal Tap and Best in Show — it also takes a hilarious look at vampires in a way you’ve never seen before. If you love Flight of the Conchords and the type of humor you’re used to with Jemaine Clement, then you will not be disappointed with this movie. It’s whip-smart, extremely quotable and one of the true gems to come out this year.
