About the Movie
A search for the legendary RV salesman whose hilarious, foul-mouthed outbursts were caught on video and became an online phenomenon. Winnebago Man is a laugh-out-loud look at viral culture and an unexpectedly poignant tale of one man's response to unintended fame.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Adulation -- even barbed adulation -- is irresistible.
Fresh: Whenever Rebney gets to be Rebney -- be it insulting, sweet or wearily perturbed -- Winnebago Man shows a full tank of irascible charm.
Fresh: Good fortune smiled on this film, but the feeling persists: This triumph belongs to Rebney, not Steinbauer.
Fresh: There is a genuine, human sympathy for his frustration and lashing out that goes along with the laughter.
98 cents too much
Shakespeare anticipated this 'schlockumentary' by 100's of years when he wrote, "a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing". The only revelation here is that the Winnebago Man knows the "f" word…and ALL of its relatives.
The best way I can convey the emptiness of this film, is to say they've made a movie involving all the history and intricacies of toenail clipping, and are trying to convince you it's akin to open-heart surgery.
The first time I really don’t like the filmmaker
What’s wrong with this director? He won’t let Jack talk, and yet he wanted to make a documentary about him. Even if you don’t want him to share his views on politics, you can edit all that in postproduction, plus letting him talk is a great way to open him up, so everyone can understand him at least a little bit better, and the director simply denies that possibility. But he surely uses his notoriety very well.
Give it a go! You’ll be glad you did!
