About the Movie
Meet Art Hahn, whose days are a blur of demoralizing auditions and bleak temp jobs - just another actor numbed by the New York struggle. One day, an unusual proposition from his friend John Kim, jolts his system like never before.
It neatly packages the struggle, while balancing reality and fantasy. For a short, it's heartwarming in all the right notes.
SEE THIS MOVIE!!!
I first saw this movie when it premiered in Los Angeles. It was part of an Asian film festival so there were about 8 other movies showing as well. Without a doubt, this was the best one I saw. Even though it is a short film, it accurately depicts the Asian American culture living in America, and how we balance the "roles" we play when interacting with the opposite sex. I love how the director captures the nuances and non verbal exchanges between the man and woman. This is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. Well done!
I'm so happy this is finally available! Saw this at the Bowery Poetry Club a while back and remember walking out thinking how great of a story it was. It's a touching story about change and chance wrapped in the arms of the tough love NYC tends to bless us with.
