Fresh: The movie's subversive sensibility and old-school/new-school feel are a total kick.
Fresh: Amid all the boring crashing and chasing and slapstick, there are some brilliant flashes of wit (particularly a reference to the guards in the Wizard of Oz).
Fresh: It's fun for awhile, but it's not a video game you'll come back to once you set down the controller.
Fresh: For anyone with a grade-schooler and a free Saturday, it's a pretty safe and painless bet. And a great excuse to go up to the attic later and see if you can dig out your old Atari 2600.

first one for a review oh yeah!plus this movie is good buy it.
Spectacular Film!
Going in to Wreck-It Ralph, I had some pretty high expectations. The concept, environment, and brief clilps I'd caught all added into a highly promising film. As I went to see it, Paperman at the beginning whet my appetite with clever animation, a cute story, and great use of style. Once the film itself began, each scene either brought a laugh, pulled a tear, or had me on the edge of my seat. The animation is stellar, the characters clever and interesting, and the plot seemingly cliche but ultimately one that blind-sided where I thought the movie was going. Truly a great film, and one I am glad to call my favorite!
A VIDEO GAME ADVENTURE FOR THE AGES!
I can easily say with clear confidence that "Wreck-It Ralph" is the greatest video game movie ever made. And the fact that it's a Disney flick makes it all the more sweeter. Brilliantly combining the surreal childhood nostalgia of "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" with the emotionally deep storytelling of the "Toy Story" trilogy, this is one of those rare animated movies that appeals just as much to kids as it does to adults. The characters are genuinely likable and consistently funny, the brightly colored visuals are fantastically detailed, and the ingenious references to classic video games like "Pac-Man" and "Street Fighter" are a ton of fun to point out. Not only is this one of the most creative and entertaining films I've seen all year, but it actually made me feel like a kid again.
The story follows Ralph (John C. Reilly), a video game villain who's finally had enough of being constantly overshadowed by the "good-guy" star of his game, Fix-It Felix Jr. (Jack McBrayer). So after decades of doing the same thing and seeing all the glory go to Felix, Ralph takes matters into his own massive hands and sets off on an incredible journey across the arcade through every generation of video games to prove he has what it takes to be a real hero. On his epic quest, he meets the tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun (Jane Lynch) from "Hero's Duty", a modern first-person shooter game, as well as a feisty misfit named Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman) from the candy-coated cart-racing world of "Sugar Rush", where he accidentally unleashes a deadly enemy that threatens the entire arcade. Will Ralph realize his dream and save the day before it's too late?
For me, the best thing about "Wreck-It Ralph" is its charming cast of characters. These aren't just your average "run-of-the-mill" protagonists that the film awkwardly nudges you to root for. Ralph and Vanellope share an unstable yet instantly believable friendship, one that grows more emotionally poignant as the story moves along. They also get to share some of the funniest scenes in the entire movie. Fix-It Felix and Calhoun are a laugh riot together as well, even though they share about half the screen time as our two main heroes. Just about every character in general is memorable in this flick, even the small familiar cameos that appear every so often (Zangief, Sonic, Q*bert, the list goes on and on). As for the energetic, electronic music, it's amazing how well it effortlessly gels into every world the film explores. And the animation is some of the best I've seen all year, by far.
"Wreck-It Ralph" is solid proof that Walt Disney Animation Studios can still weave an exciting, emotional adventure full of clever humor and brilliant characters. Even more impressive is the fact that it literally appeals to viewers of every age. The bright eye candy and fast-paced action sequences are light enough to entertain young ones, while older filmgoers can appreciate the nostalgic nods to classic arcade games, as well as some clever in-jokes that only the most ardent gamers will understand. Personally, I had a blast with this film. Sure, when compared to the "Toy Story" movies, it doesn't quite reach the same visceral heights, but in terms of sheer entertainment value, "Wreck-It Ralph" truly delivers. All in all, this is an absolute must-buy for any big fan of video games and Disney animation. You won't regret it!
