About the Movie
Zombies invade the Australian Outback in this brain-splattered, Mad Max-meets-the-undead thrill ride. When an apocalyptic event turns everyone around him—including his wife and daughter—into marauding zombies, everyman mechanic Barry arms himself to the teeth, soups up his car, and hits the road in order to rescue his sister from a deranged, disco-dancing mad doctor. Bursting with high-octane car chases, crazy-cool homemade weaponry, and enough blood-and-guts gore to satisfy hardcore horror fans, WYRMWOOD takes the zombie flick to bone-crunchingly berserk new heights.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Ambulant corpses may be tramping all over our movie and television screens these days, but "Wyrmwood" has enough novelty - and more than enough energy - to best its minuscule budget.
Fresh: While featuring mucho mayhem, Wyrmwood also takes refreshing liberties with the walking-corpse playbook.
Fresh: Armed with "Mad Max"-like design elements and a good sense of humor, this energetically executed bloodbath marks a promising feature bow for Australian brothers Kiah and Tristan Roache-Turner.
Rotten: Proceeds with more energy than inspiration, liberally splashing ketchup over genre cliches.
A fun mis-mash
I helped fund this movie so I’m a bit biased but I still liked it. Its a bit of mad max with zombies, a bit of resident evil with higher production values, and just generally a fun B movie. Its certainly not perfect but the entire family watched it and enjoyed it, including a grumpy 15 year old girl who doesn’t like anything, so I’d say its good. I look forward to owning this one.
It’s as bad that it seems to be...
I had a gas watching this flic… it’s a great take on the zombie apocalypse idea, and has a fun mix of gore, black comedy, and some good characters… B-movie feel, but in a good way.
