Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: For every lively moment, there's a reminder that the franchise is tiring. The genre's emphasis on potential mass death is obsessive and unimaginative. – Glenn Kenny, New York Times, May 26, 2016

Rotten: Enough already. Singer throws so much mutant at us that nothing sticks. I was almost rooting for Trump to impose a quota. – Peter Travers, Rolling Stone, May 27, 2016

Fresh: Those who have seen the previous "X-Men" movies will likely feel motivated to keep their run complete, and over 2 hours and 23 minutes, they mostly get their money's worth. – Brian Lowry,, May 26, 2016

Fresh: Even the hardcore geeks who like to get their Comic-Con on might be feeling a little superhero fatigue right about now. Still. You owe it to yourself to see Quicksilver do his thing. – Richard Roeper, Chicago Sun-Times, May 26, 2016

Extraordinary X-Men!

This movie surprised me and I’m shocked it did. I went into this movie expecting the worse by what the critics were saying and I was shocked at how much I loved this movie and how wrong they were. I should’ve gone with my gut and went into expecting to love it. However, everyone is entitled to their opinion and mine is that this movie is greater than the critics are saying. No movies perfect and there are some nitpicks but highly recommend for anyone. I can’t wait to see where the franchise goes next.

Xcelent movie

Recommend you to watch it I give it a 8/10 ignore the critics watch it for yourself

They finally got it right!

I thought this movie was great. I always thought the original x-men movies were "blah" and the recent reboot was "eh" but after 5 movies they finally got it right! The actors are phenomenal and the effects are just sexy. But most of all the writing was spot on. It was consistent and focused on one thing. The plot was built with caution and perfection and the jokes were great. I actually "fangirled" while watching this movie which I cannot say I have done with any of the previous movies of this franchise. I was internally screaming the whole time and utterly pleased. This movie was worth every cent and you should definitely go see it!
