Fresh: Quicksilver ... is the coolest of this picture's new guys, zipping around so fast ... that he can taste soup, rearrange guards' limbs, and nudge bullets off their trajectories all in the time it takes to blink.
Fresh: For those who felt The Last Stand was a poor exit for many of these characters, X-Men: Days of Future Past should at least salve the wound in part.
Fresh: Ambitious, even audacious, the movie's mix of action and for-devotees-only intrigue can overwhelm, but there are moments of sheer virtuosity, too ...
Fresh: Perhaps more than any other superhero franchise, X-Men captures the overlapping fantasies of being unique yet not alone, and of being a hero but also being saved.
Phenomenal Film, Full of Surprises!
I was fortunate to watch this movie last night, on release and what can I say? The movie is amazing from all angles, the visual effects, the acting, the story, the character surprises at the end. The fact that I found it here on iTunes and I'm writing this review proves how much I was amazed by it.
I strongly recommend it. Never miss the chance to watch it in cinemas and to own it in HD.
Best X-Men movie to date
Mind blowing storyline, incredibly emotional, a huge All-Star cast, and visual effects that are difficult to compare to reality make this movie not only the best X-Men film but probably the best Marvel movie to date.
I just have one word for this movie: Phenomenal. I was worried about this movie at first because of Bryan Singer’s reputation with X2, but after seeing this movie, I realize that I was so wrong. There was only one thing they didn’t explain though: how Logan got his Adamantium claws back. Maybe he got them back through Erik and his powers, but it doesn’t matter, the movie was fantastic. The choice of how to show the futuristic Sentinals as being adaptive models, coming up with every solution for a Mutant problem, was beyond brilliant, and I loved every minute of it. And I don’t what the hell Hugh Jackman does to his body to make himself look like Logan, but it’s insane, and I love it. I can’t wait for X-Men: Apocalypse, because I can’t wait to see how they are going to how the world’s oldest and most powerful mutant, but I know however they plan to do it, it will be amazing.
