Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Quicksilver ... is the coolest of this picture's new guys, zipping around so fast ... that he can taste soup, rearrange guards' limbs, and nudge bullets off their trajectories all in the time it takes to blink.
Fresh: Ambitious, even audacious, the movie's mix of action and for-devotees-only intrigue can overwhelm, but there are moments of sheer virtuosity, too ...
Fresh: Perhaps more than any other superhero franchise, X-Men captures the overlapping fantasies of being unique yet not alone, and of being a hero but also being saved.
Fresh: The fireworks, the super-power circus, lots of surprise cameos and Big Moments - "X-Men: Days of Future Past" has them all. Logic? Who cares?
Phenomenal Film, Full of Surprises!
I was fortunate to watch this movie last night, on release and what can I say? The movie is amazing from all angles, the visual effects, the acting, the story, the character surprises at the end. The fact that I found it here on iTunes and I'm writing this review proves how much I was amazed by it.
I strongly recommend it. Never miss the chance to watch it in cinemas and to own it in HD.
Best X-Men movie to date
Mind blowing storyline, incredibly emotional, a huge All-Star cast, and visual effects that are difficult to compare to reality make this movie not only the best X-Men film but probably the best Marvel movie to date.
This movie honestly stunned me. James McAvoy (Charles Xavier) and Michael Fassbender (Erik Lehnsherr) bring a performance chalk full of emotion. The dynamic between these two "old friends" is phenomenal in how heartbroken and familiar they are. Everyone in this movie was honestly superb; Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) was sarcastic and dry, but not overly so. A fabulous movie with plot twists and raw feeling. It may not've completely stuck to the canon X-Men, but good god, I loved it. It was, (as Charles would say in the 60's), groovy. And if you see it—bring tissues. You'll need them.
