Exquisite Re-imagining of a Classic

By turns edgy and contemplative, Annie Lennox's version of A Whiter Shade of Pale backs away from the histrionics of the original but doesn't lose one bit of its dreamy contemplation.

If you aren't a fan of Annie Lennox, or the sort of laconic interpretation favored by groups like the Cowboy Junkies you may not appreciate this gem.
