About Pixx
Updating the classic, ethereal sound of 4AD for the 2010s, Pixx continues the tradition of artists ranging from the Cocteau Twins to Grimes. Born Hannah Rodgers, the singer/songwriter hails from Chipstead, a town just outside of South London. Growing up, her talent was encouraged and she attended The BRIT School, a performing arts college near her home. Taking inspiration from Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, and Aphex Twin -- and adopting her grandmother's nickname for her moniker -- Pixx released her folktronica-tinged debut EP Fall In in August 2015. Her 2017 debut album The Age of Anxiety (which took its name from W.H. Auden's final poem) found Pixx moving in a darker electro-pop direction inspired by the era's turbulent times.~ Heather Phares
