The Mother of all videos

Though bands made promos for their singles, these were shot on film and were nothing more than the band lip-syncing to the studio recording of the track they were promoting. Then in 1975 Queen shoots this gem and starts the modern video age. It is the first to mix performace and surreal images into a new format. With it's uniquiness of sound and vision, Queen were propelled into the stratosphere and true superstardom. Over the years though this video has been bettered with technology, this one still stands up against any modern video from any band over the last 20 years
