Lindsay is brilliant

This song and video were written and directed by Lindsay. They both capture the heartbreak her father caused her. It's my favorite music video, and Lindsay is beautiful in it, even though it was back when she was still very skinny. I have three problems with other people reviewing this video. Number one, I don't think a lot of people understand this video, so they call it stupid and weird. The people in the video being behind glass windows with the public looking on symbolizes how public the whole ordeal is. And about her makeup; of course it's too much, and no one would ever where that much on the street. But it's a music video, so it's ok to look dramatic and a little odd. Problem number two; some people said that Lindsay is an anorexic and blonde (I don't really care about the blonde part). She used to be, but if anyone has seen any recent pictures of her, they can see that she's redheaded and curvy again. The last problem; one person said that it was no big deal that someone's parents get divorced and their dad leaves. First, I don't know if that person understands that Lindsay's father was a violent person and is in jail at this moment. Also, any situation like this, whether one is famous or not, is always a big deal, and I wouldn't say she's whining about it either. What happened to people liking songs charged with emotion and heartache. Now that's whiny? She isn't upset about a dropped ice cream cone. She's upset about her father being violent, drunk and irresponsible. I don't think that's "whiny."

I know exactly what she's going through. Well, went through. If you havent' noticed from the many reviews I've written that my "name" is mad@dad. And I am mad at my dad because like Lindsay, he left me and mom. And this just really made me feel "better" about it. Well, I mean, of course I cried. But I know now that there are people, STARS, out there who have gone through the same thing as me. And I just have a whole different view of Lindsay now. You guys, this is a great video. Whether you like it or not, it is. And you guys should give her a break. This video is her life story. It's my life story too. And if you've never experienced divorce, or anything like it, it makes you really grateful for what you have.

I can relate.

I can totally relate to her. And to the people who say they like Kelly's better? Well Lindsay's is way more real. Kelly's was very G-rated compared to this one. When lindsay is screaming at her parents to stop yet no one can really hear her? thats a perfect example of real life. i give props to lindsay. this is coming from a girl who loves pure rock and roll and cant stand teeny boppers. this song brought my respect for the girl.
