Arguably the best "guitar song" of all time, Steve Vai's "For the Love of God" is responsible for giving many guitarists the desire for something more. More than the mundane three-chord songs and the poppy licks. Perhaps the video is a little over the top and a little dated but with a song like this, who cares?

Walking the fine line

between Pagan and Christian... This song can touch your soul... Steve Vai makes his guitar cry in this song...

One of my all time favs...

When watching Steve Vai play guitar live, it becomes very clear that there is so much more of him involved in his playing than just his brain & his fingers.
This studio recording captures that indescribable intensity & emotion, leaving the listener feeling like they have witnessed a musical catharsis, projected through (literally) bleeding fingers.
Bring on the goosebumps!
