It End Tonight

I never thought that The All-American Rejects would make “It Ends Tonight” into a video. I got hooked onto them when I heard “Dirty Little Secret” and I thought “Move Along” was a great song too. But I asked questions if “It Ends Tonight” would be as great as them. The answer: yes. The video completely got my attention from the start. It was a story unraveling itself until the very end. The video started out with Tyson playing piano in, what looked like, a wasteland. As the verse and first chorus come, you see Tyson waiting outside a fireworks store and the rest of the band driving in a tour bus. When the second verse starts, Tyson goes into the store and starts loading a cart with tons of fireworks. Two girls are also checking him out as he walks through the store. The band is also out on the wasteland setting up their equipment. Tyson pays and leaves the store. He pushes the cart full of fireworks all the way out to the wasteland where the band is waiting. Tyson lights all of the fireworks and starts singing. When the last chorus picks up loud with the guitars kicking in, the fireworks go off in all directions. Then it changes to morning as the video ends.

Great Great Great.

Amazing song. Amazing video. Amazing band. AAR is a great band, i'm looking forward to their next move.

1st heard them on a Battlestar Galactica preview!?

I was surprised to hear this song on a preview for the second-half season-premeire of one of the best shows on TV today, Battlestar Galactica. It was kinda weird to hear it there, but it fit nicely. The song is great, as is the video, and I can't wait to hear more of there stuff.

Genre: Alternative

Years Active: '00s, '10s

Vocalist/bassist Tyson Ritter and guitarist Nick Wheeler both hail from Stillwater, OK, where the pair first embraced music as an appealing diversion from the ho-hum life of small-town America. Citing such influences as AC/DC, Def Leppard, and Bon Jovi, they formed the emo-pop group All-American Rejects in 2000, while both members were still in high school. Maintaining a full lineup proved to be difficult, however, so Ritter and Wheeler employed drum loops and pre-programmed rhythm tracks during...
