I love this song.

Of course I love the Gary Jules version, as well. But these guys wrote the lyrics! The Gary Jules version is slower and allows us to really hear those haunting lyrics, so kudos to both versions.

Originals aren't always best...

First off, I'd like to point out that this is the original version of the song, not a cover as some believe. The version featured in the movie "Donnie Darko" was indeed a cover, and not the original(!). That being said, I have to say that this '80s pop single might have been good in its own time, but in no way does it hold up to the standards of All-Time-Great status. If you're a fan of pop music using some synth work with suicidal undertones, this song's for you. However, if you're looking for the amazing version from "Donnie Darko," this is most definitely not it.

The original version and still the best

I remember this sound when it came out in the 80's and it's just as good now as it was then. The new, slow version that was in the Donnie Darko movie was ok (the movie was boring) but I still prefer the original song by TFF's.
