FINALLY! Hilary Duff At Her Best!

This is probably Hilary's best video to date. I really like the whole concept and the "Britney-ish" Belly dancing scene. The video for the single was directed by Fatima Robinson and shot in Los Angeles, California, including at a mansion in Silver Lake, between May 10 and May 12, 2007. Duff said she was ill during the shoot, but that it went well because she liked the song and the director; she also said she thought it was her best music video to date. The video begins with Duff's character running out of her home to look for her romantic partner, who drives away. It cuts to her waking up and finding a letter and a bracelet, and then shows Duff watching another woman seducing her partner. At a dinner party, Duff's partner kisses her and then flirts with the other woman. The video cuts to a scene at a lounge where dancers entertain the guests, among whom are Duff's partner and two other men. Duff's partner flirts with one of the dancers. Recurring shots of Duff wearing a hooded jacket are edited into the video. The second verse begins with Duff belly dancing and wearing Indian henna tattoos and beads; according to Duff, they took several hours to apply and reflected the "Indian type beat" in the song. During the second chorus, the dinner party scene is shown again. Duff is introduced to the other woman, and she talks to other guests. The chorus plays again with Duff walking into a nightclub and teasing her partner, before dancing with another man. She then breaks into another dance routine with two other dancers. The final two choruses show Duff and her partner fighting, and either Duff texting someone or looking and her partner's previous texts with another person before leaving the house with a suitcase.

I don't get it

How am I the first person to write a bad review about this video? Her past songs were good simply because she was a cute, likeable actress. The newest trend of trying to be the next pop sex icon is just not fitting to her. She can't pull it off mostly because her vocal talent is completely lacking and its irritating to see her attempt to go further into the music industry when she should have stuck to what she was good at in the first place. I used to be a fan but the new over-sexed Hilary is not pleasant to watch or listen to. Oh yeah, so is the lip-synching.

Hilary Duff first made a name for herself on the enormously successful Disney Channel/ABC Kids show Lizzie McGuire, which she parlayed into dual careers as a pop singer and film actress. Like most overnight successes, however, she paid her dues for several years before her big break. Appearances in the 1997 western True Women, 1998's Casper (as the Friendly Ghost's human friend Wendy), and 1999's The Soul Collector paved the way for her best-known role. Lizzie McGuire, which chronicled the ups and...
