Simple Plan is an excellent band, but this music video is an excellent example of how driving under the influence can affect teens and their families. 16,000 teens die every year because of drunk driving, and we can all learn something for the symbolic nature of this video. A sad video it my be, but is touching at the same time.
Amen to That...
I remember watching this video years ago on MTV, and it was powerful then, but over time I forgot about it. I spent about forty-five seconds looking it up online tonight, it didn't take me long. It matters even more to me now. The victims of drunk drivers don't always die, and my husband is living proof that sometimes it's even harder. Watching him go through a coma, and learning to walk and talk again, and struggle every day with traumatic brain injury.. it's a miracle he's even still here. This video gives me chills.. and I'm so proud that a group like Simple Plan can bring a little more attention to how driving drunk destroys lives.
This video is as close to real life as you get. Its true that the leading death in teenagers is driving under the influence. Whether its the victim or not that is taken. This video is very true and good. I love it.
