Jahlil Beats: The Producers

Jahlil Beats: The Producers

When Meek Mill burst out of Philadelphia in the early '10s, he brought his favorite hometown producer with him. Jahlil Beats is known for pounding snare drums and synths that scream like sirens on high-powered tracks like “Ima Boss." He also crafted the chopped-up gospel piano for “Amen.” One of his most danceable tracks, “Jackpot,” first made for Lloyd Banks, was redone as a breakout hit for Bobby Shmurda.
