Best of '70s L.A. Punk
Apple Music
When punk first hit the Sunset Strip, it mutated into something quite different than the New York and London scenes. Fusing with a glam rock underground that had been percolating in L.A. for years, punk became a visual spectacle with a cracked art school edge. Acts like The Weirdos, Germs or X could only have happened in Los Angeles. By decade's end, hardcore was being born in the city's suburbs.
